Chocolate Brownies for Cerebral Palsy Alberta

Brownies Recipe:

Ingredients:

350g dark chocolate chips

225g butter

2 tsp instant espresso granules

2 tbsp hot water

3 large eggs

225g granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

75g all purpose flour

¾ tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

225g chocolate chips of choice

 

Procedure:

·      Preheat oven to 350ºF convection (If you don’t have confection 375ºF)

·      In microwave safe bowl, melt together your dark chocolate chips and butter. Leave mixture to cool.

·      Use hot water to dissolve coffee granules. Set aside.

·      In large mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, coffee and vanilla. Once whisked together in 3 additions slowly whisk in your chocolate/butter mixture.

·      Whisk in your dry ingredients until incorporated.

·      Fold in chocolate chips.

·      Pour into prepared 9x9 inch brownie pan that has been thoroughly buttered.

·      Bake for 35-40 min or until top is cracked and the toothpick comes out clean when pocked into center.

·      Leave to cool before turning out and cutting into 2x2 inch squares.

Makes 24 2x2 Inch squares
